Microlearning

Microlearning uses short, chunk-size bits of information called Single Information Units, or SIUs. The SIUs are short and concise and use keywords in the headings.

For example, in Art a macro lesson might involve teaching elements of the color wheel. Students will be able to identify primary and secondary colors and understand the color wheel. They will further discuss which of these are considered warm and cool.
The SIUs would like like this:
  • SIU-Primary colors work with red, blue and yellow
  • SIU-Secondary colors work with orange, purple, green
  • SIU-Warm colors work with yellow, red, orange
  • SIU-Cool colors work with blue, green, purple
